These EarnIn Referral Bonus Terms ("Referral Terms") apply to your participation in the EarnIn Referral Program ("Referral Program") and are in addition to any other agreements you may have with EarnIn, including the
EarnIn General Terms of Service, as well as the agreement you have with our applicable bank partner, including:
Evolve Bank & Trust
Lead Bank
— for Savings Jar, specifically, the Lead Bank Customer Account Terms (each, a "Bank Partner Terms," and collectively with the EarnIn General Terms of Service, the "Terms"). By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to be bound by these Referral Terms, which are incorporated by reference and may be updated from time to time.
If you elect to open a savings product (i.e., a Tip Yourself account or Savings Jar) through any of our banking partners (i.e., Evolve Bank & Trust ("Evolve") or Lead Bank ("Lead")) (each, a "Savings Product"), the terms of the applicable Bank Partner Terms will apply to that Savings Product.
If you share a referral code or link with a friend, co-worker, or any third party, you are the "Referring Friend".
If you sign up using a referral code or link from a friend, co-worker, or any third party, you are the "Referred Friend".
1. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for participation in the Referral Program, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age;
Have an EarnIn account in good standing;
Open and maintain an active Savings Product; and
Not be an employee of EarnIn or any of its subsidiaries unless expressly permitted.
EarnIn reserves the right to determine eligibility in its sole discretion. If your account is restricted, suspended, or found to be in violation of any Terms, you may be disqualified from participation and forfeit any pending referral bonuses.
2. How to Refer a Friend
You can refer friends, co-workers, or other third parties through the EarnIn app. Unless otherwise stated, your Referred Friend must be a new EarnIn customer. You will be provided with a personalized referral link or code, which may be shared via text, email, or other messaging platforms.
By sharing a referral link or any other related communication, you confirm that:
You have obtained appropriate consent from the recipient to receive referral communications from you. Any personal information collected in connection with the Referral Program is used solely to operate and fulfill the program in accordance with this Referral Terms and EarnIn's Privacy Policy;
You will not engage in spam or misuse of the referral system.
EarnIn may pre-fill messaging templates, but you are responsible for all messages you send.
Important: You cannot refer a friend, co-workers, or other third parties, that is already an EarnIn customer.
3. Referral Bonus Structure
a. Bonus for the Referring Friend
As the Referring Friend, you will receive a deposit into your Savings Product in the amount indicated to you by EarnIn marketing when you fulfill the eligibility requirements of Section 1 and your Referred Friend:
Signs up using your unique referral link or code;
Completes EarnIn account setup; and
Completes their first Qualifying Action.
b. Bonus for the Referred Friend
As the Referred Friend, you will receive a deposit into your Savings Product in the amount indicated to you by EarnIn marketing for each EarnIn product you sign up for once you:
Use your referral code or link to sign up;
Complete EarnIn account setup; and
Set up a Savings Product; and
Complete a Qualifying Actions.
The above requirements must be completed within forty-five (45) days of activating the referral link; otherwise, the offer will become void.
c. Qualifying Actions
As the Referred Friend, you must complete one (1) or more of the following actions regarding the EarnIn Services:
Cash Out - you successfully complete your first transfer out.
Early Pay - you successfully provide a first Qualifying Direct Deposit of:
$250 per pay period if paid weekly,
$500 per pay period if paid bi-weekly, or
$1,000 per pay period if paid monthly.
"Qualifying Direct Deposit" - means payroll deposits made directly by your employer or other ACH deposits. Bank transfers and peer-to-peer transfers (e.g., Venmo) do not qualify.
d. Referring Friend Example
Example:
You see a referral promotion where the Referring Friend receives $50 for each Referred Friend and the Referred Friend receives $10 for each product the friend signs up for.
As the Referring Friend, if your friend, co-workers, or other third parties, signs up for both Cash Out and also Early Pay*, you will receive a $50 bonus.*
As the Referring Friend, if your friend, co-workers, or other third parties only signs up for Cash Out or only signs up for Early Pay, in either case, you will receive a $50 bonus.
e. Referred Friend Example
You are eligible to receive a TYS deposit for each first Qualifying Action completed.
Example:
You see a referral promotion where the Referring Friend receives $50 for each Referred Friend and the Referred Friend receives $10 for each product the friend signs up for.
As the Referred Friend, if you sign up for Cash Out and also Early Pay, you will receive a $10 bonus for each product: $10 for Cash Out and $10 for Early Pay for a total of $20.
As the Referred Friend, if you only sign up for Cash Out, you will receive a $10 bonus.
As the Referred Friend, if you only sign up for Early Pay, you will receive a $10 bonus.
Note: If you are already an EarnIn customer, you are not eligible for a bonus under this program as a Referred Friend—even if you are new to one of the eligible products. Once you sign up via the link you will not receive additional bonuses for signing up for new products.
4. Reward Limitations and Tax Disclosure
The Referring Friend must open a Savings Product within sixty (60) calendar days from the Referred Friend's first Qualifying Action. Otherwise, the bonus will expire and be forfeited.

Each referral link is active for thirty (30) days after it is sent by the Referring Friend. Once this period ends, the offer will no longer be valid for both the Referring Friend and the Referred Friend. However, your friend, co-workers, or other third parties, can create and send a new referral link if the link expires.
Total cash referral rewards are capped at $600 per calendar year.
Partial bonuses may be issued to ensure compliance with this limit.
Cash rewards count toward the maximum rewards for the calendar year in which you receive the reward and not when you made or received the referral.
If you receive more than $2,000.00 in rewards in a calendar year from EarnIn across any of our rewards, promotions, marketing compensation, or other programs (including third-party marketplace offerings such as
gaming rewards and cash back rewards), we're required to report it to the IRS and provide you with the applicable form. Please consult a tax advisor if you have questions about how this may affect your taxes.
From time to time, we may offer limited-time rewards to both the Referring Friend and the Referred Friend ("Promotional Offer"). These offers may include increases to your Pay Period Max or cash rewards greater than those described in this document. All Promotional Offers are available for a limited time only and may be modified or discontinued as stated in the offer terms.
6. Program Disqualification and Restrictions
You may be disqualified from receiving bonuses under the following circumstances:
Your account is closed, suspended, or in violation of the Terms;
Fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or abuse of the referral system;
If your Referred Friend is not a new EarnIn customer (i.e., already has or had an EarnIn account);
You failed to complete the required actions within the allowed timeframes.
You have reached your maximum referral reward limit for the calendar year.
EarnIn reserves the right to withhold or revoke rewards, suspend your participation, or take legal action in response to abuse or violations.
7. Program Modification and Termination
EarnIn may modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Changes may include reward amounts, eligibility requirements, and program duration. All modifications are effective immediately and apply to current and future referrals.
8. No Employment Relationship
Participation in the Referral Program does not establish any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and EarnIn.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Referral Bonus Terms are governed by the
General Terms of Service, including the provisions related to Governing Law and Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration. Participation in this program constitutes agreement to resolve any disputes arising from the Referral Program through those binding provisions.
10. Banking Partner and Deposit Insurance
Referral bonuses are deposited into your Savings Product. Savings Product funds are held with one of our bank partner — either Evolve Bank & Trust (for Tip Yourself) or Lead Bank (for Savings Jar), each Member FDIC — and are FDIC-insured up to $250,000. Tip Yourself and Savings Jar are 0% Annual Percentage Yield $0 monthly fee deposit accounts. For more information, see the
